2023 saw the peak of the fentanyl crisis in downtown Seattle. 203 people died. Fentanyl seemingly came out of nowhere around 2020: Heroin needles scattered in the cuts replaced by fentanyl foils in a matter of months. This book contains 203 skulls painted with gouache on used fentanyl foils, one skull for each death downtown.
